The 9th Edition of PVEL’s PV Module Reliability Scorecard is now available: scorecard.pvel.com.
Every year, our Scorecard recognizes solar manufacturers that produce PV modules with excellent results in PVEL’s independent testing. This year, we have a record number of manufacturers and model types, more than ever before. However, while our Product Qualification Program (PQP) results showcase the ways in which solar module designs have improved over time, there was also an increase in the percentage of manufacturers who experienced a failure in this year’s results. Buyers need to carefully review the specific Bills of Materials and carefully consider technology and module designs when procuring for solar projects.
